WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING Book To Film Adaptation Snags Daisy Edgar-Jones As Lead

From the bestselling book WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING written by Delia Owens, comes the actress who will play the protagonist of the book to film, Daisy Edgar-Jones, a 22 year old British actress known for role in Cold Feet.

She will play the character Kya from the book that takes place in the southern state of North Carolina in the year 1969. This women’s fiction follows the rumors of the Marsh Girl who haunts the town of Barkley Cove. Then, there is a dead body found, and it’s the dead boy of a handsome guy named Chase Andrews.

The rumored suspect of the murder is Marsh Girl herself – Kya – Marsh Girl because she lives alone in the Marsh, completely cool with it, too, until she desires love. She meets to guys and then, boom, something goes absolutely wrong.

Reese Witherspoon’s and Lauren Neustadter’s company Hello Sunshine will be behind the production of Where the Crawdads Sing, according to The Daily Mail.

The book sold millions of copies and, of course, hit the NY Times best sellers list.
