When Breonna Taylor was killed as she slept in her bed by an officer of the law, the news made headlines due to this awful tragedy. There were protests over there not being consequences for the police officers accused of causing her death as she was an innocent woman in her home.
The officer involved in the shooting is Jonathan Mattingly, and he was in the process of getting a book published by Post Hill Press to which Simon & Schuster would have distributed. The book is titled The Fight for Truth: The Inside Story Behind the Breonna Taylor Tragedy. That particular distribution won’t happen.
Simon & Schuster pulled out of having anything to do with the book, announcing it through a tweet that reads “Like most of the American public, earlier today Simon & Schuster learned of plans by distribution client Post Hill Press to publish a book by Jonathan Mattingly. WE have subsequently decided not to be involved in the distribution of this book.”
