Get the True Story On How the BLACK, WHITE and the GREY Came Together With Friendship & Food In New Memoir

On the second full week in January 2021 on the 12th of the month, Black, White, and the Grey: The Story of an Unexpected Friendship and a Beloved Restaurant by Mashana Bailey and John O. Morisano will release. It revolves around the big business of tasty food from the deep South and how two people from different sides of the racial track got together as business partners, became friends and transformed the segregated Greyhound bus station that was built in 1938 into “one of the most celebrated restaurants in the country”, located in Savannah, Georgia.

Owners Executive Chef Mashana Bailey and Managing Partner John O. Morisano are debut authors out of New York City but with different backgrounds in great food. Morisano from an Italian side and Bailey learning great southern cooking from the older females in her family out of Georgia.

They came together, but to learn their transformative story and how they “integrated and once segregated” venue is all in Black, White and the Grey.
