Hillary and Chelsea Clinton need no introduction being at one point the First Family of the United States of America, husband and daughter of former President Bill Clinton. The mother daughter duo has teamed up to write and release a book that is set to release on October 1st titled The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience.
This book should come as no shock as both women have taken not only stances but hits from various sides whenever they speak up and out on particular issues, popular and unpopular. Therefore, one would think that they take on similar attributes of some of the women they admire such as everyday professionals – teachers, doctors, lawyers – and also more well known women like authors such as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie or civil rights activist Dorothy Height and even Amelia Earhart.
All in all, it appears as if they both want to share and be certain that women and the power they bring will not be forgotten, thus, they are sharing their essays in The Book of Gutsy Women.
According to Hillary Clinton in a video from Simon & Schuster, The Book of Gutsy Women is “…filled with essays that are reflections of our feelings about these women” while Chelsea describes it as “… a continuation of a conversation we have been having our whole life.”
As readers, would you say these two Clintons make the cut as GUTSY? To many, they do.
