Ferrante’s “My Brilliant Friend” To Be Adapted Into Drama Series

The story of friends Elena and Lila of the book My Brilliant Friend from the Neapolitan Series is being adapted into a film. Written by Italian author Elena Ferrante, the story captures the essence of friendship during the 1950s while at the same time following the struggles of the country.

According to Variety, the film will be directed by Saverio Costanzo.

As noted above, the book My Brilliant Friend is a part of the four book Neopolitan series which include the titles The Story of a New Name, Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay, and The Story of the Lost Child.
