Crystal Wilkinson, Jason Reynolds & William H. Turner To Attend Kentucky Book Festival in November

If you’re in Kentucky or the surrounding areas, look forward to a big deal that’s coming on November 6th. Many authors will be reading, signing, meeting and greeting at the Kentucky Book Festival such as Jason Reynolds, author of Miles Morales: Spider-Man and more!

There will be approximately 140 authors attending on the date of November 6th of the festival, but for that entire week – November 1-5 – there will be events – virtual, literary trivia night, a luncheon and more – across the city of Lexington.

Author Crystal Wilkinson just released her latest book titled Perfect Black on August 3rd and it’s poetry and prose, combining the themes of racism, body image, sex abuse and more.

Not only is she an award winning author but she is the founder of the Wild Fig Books & Coffee which is the only Black owned bookstore in Kentucky.

As stated above, bestselling and award winning author of Stamped (co-written with Ibram X. Kendi) and Miles Morales: Spider-Man Jason Reynolds will be on the virtual part of the Kentucky Book Festival where those who attend will find him on Zoom. Those who attend will receive a copy of his latest book Stuntboy In The Meantime.

Stuntboy in the Meantime is a children’s superhero fiction that will release on November 30th so this is the perfect time to get a ticket for the virtual chat so you can get the newest release!

Another fantastic author, William H. Turner, has written about Black Life in the Appalachian in two books – The Harlan Renaissance and Blacks in Appalachia.

Many times, Black people of this region in America are overlooked, but Turner didn’t miss a beat when he decided to bring Black life in Appalachia to the forefront.
