AMC Takes Maurice Broaddus Novella SORCERERS For Adaptation To Series

Word is out that SORCERERS by Maurice Broaddus and co-writer Otis Whitaker will be taken to television series by AMC.

What exactly is Sorcerers? It’s a urban fantasy novella (that is very much needed on film by the way because there just isn’t any) that follows the story of a guy named Malik who is from Harlem. Malik is a lyricist but also the family outcast, but when his grandfather is dying, he tells Malik a secret of his being a African sorcerer, the responsibility that he will now pass on to his grandson in order to protect not only his family but the world from evils of the land.

Now, Sorcerers was just released on August 4th, published by NeoText. More Maurice Broaddus books are listed below.
