Austin’s 11th Annual African American Book Festival To Celebrate Black Literature & Power

In the upcoming 11th annual African American Book Festival held in Austin, Texas at the Carver Museum and Library on 1165 Angelina Street, there will be a celebration with many authors who have spoken out in fiction and nonfiction books about the historical, present and future of and in the lives of African Americans.  Many of the authors who will showcase and be featured are writers such as Angie Thomas (The Hate U Give), April Sinclair (Coffee Will Make You Black) and even remembering while discussing the writings of James Baldwin (I Am Not Your Negro).

In the past, the African American Book Festival has featured many notable others such as Terry McMillan and Sister Souljah.  Find out more information about this years festival and schedule here, at the website.
